Review: Darkness Falls - Immortal Beloved Series #2 - Cate Tiernan- January 2012
Ever thought that Immortals get sick with their lives and powers and need time out ? Where do Immortals go ? If they get crazy and nutty then they head down to Aunt Louise's who runs an Immortals Aslyum but if they are wanting a change of scenery and direction in life they head down to River's where she runs a work farm/rehab of sorts. After an incident in book #1 with Nastaya's friend Incy when he broke without even a consideration a cab driver's spine because he was rude , Nas runs away to River's Edge as she takes a hard look at herself and the person she has become. Fast-forward a few months and Nas has settled down into life on the farm but not without her up's and down's of course and the romantic love/hate relationship between her and Reyn - the guy who butchered her family 400yrs ago. In Darkness Falls , it's the beginning of a new year but Nas feels that it is the beginning of something evil as she feels that dark magic is surrounding her as she flashbacks to and fro from her past to the present. When her friend Incy finds her , will he convince her to come with them or will she stay at the farm ? Nas , goes with them and soon finds herself falling back into her old habits, is it that easy to change or will she realise that who she was on the farm is the real her ? What happens though when Nas discovers her best friend Incy is dabbling into some serious dark magic , will she be able to save him or will she head down the same track ? Which path will Nas take - Will she choose Incy or will she go back to Reyn ?
Find out all this and more in the sequel to Immortal Beloved - Darkness Falls.
