Review: Firefly Island - Book #3 Moses Lake Series - Lisa Wingate - February 2013
As a previous fan of Larkspur Bay , I decided when I saw the request for Firefly Island to give it a read but unfortunately for me I found the book to be a bit slow paced for my liking but then what I found Firefly Island to do is make up for the pace by introducing a great character cast and an intriguing plot line. Firefly Island takes us into the whirlwind romance and marriage of Mallory Hale and her husband Daniel Everson , when Dan's job takes Mallory and her step-son to the small town of Moses Lake in Texas. Mallory will find it an adjustment as she is used to the big city life of Capitol Hill. As the novel goes along we read as Mallory starts to feel at unease about the whole living arrangement in Moses Lake and starts to wonder if Dan did the right thing by taking the job. Soon rumours will start to become afloat about Dan's boss Jack and that he is a bit of a shifty fella. When tragedy strikes and Jack is the main suspect ? Will Mallory be able to assist in clearing his name or will she discover that the rumours and her suspicions about Jack ring true ?
Firefly Island is one of those books where I believe if you have read the first two in the series you may enjoy it a bit more and also if you have all day and wanting a relaxing book to curl up and read as the day passes, then this is the one for you.
