Review: Make Me - Tessa Bailey ( The Broke and Beautiful #3)
#This ARC was provided by HarperCollins NZ for a non-biased and true/accurate review.
I was in the mood for some
light-hearted romance and I know for me that Tessa Bailey never fails. I had
read and enjoyed the previous two books in this series and Make Me is the final
couple's tale of Abby and Russell. This was one of those sweet romances of
friends to lovers where of course we have miscommunication and the
inferiority/superior complex raging throughout the book. Russell doesn't
believe he is good enough for Abby so he is content with being her friend and
protector as at least he can keep her safe and sound. Abby likes Russell, but
she believes he doesn't want her so she keeps him at arm's length and pretends
to herself that he hates her and is always angry at her. That's not the case at
all, one night of passion will start the spark between the couple but are
they both ready to start a relationship with one another, especially when Abby
has a secret that has her working overtime and pretending to be her Dad at work
and Russell wants to take his business to the next level but keeps getting
rejected by the bank. They come from opposite worlds, but the age-old saying -
opposites do attract will ring true in this sweet romance. Unlike the previous
two books which end on a temporary HEA as nobody knows what could happen in the
future, Make Me ends on a more permanent fixture - a wedding bell for one of
the three couples. Who will tie the knot at the end of this series? Will it be
Louis and Roxy, Ben and Honey, or Russell and Abby? Find out in this conclusion
to the Broke and Beautiful Series by Tessa Bailey.
