Review: The Temptation of Lila and Ethan - Jessica Sorensen

Review: The Temptation of Lila and Ethan - Book #3 The Secret - Jessica Sorensen - October 2013

We readers were first introduced to Lila and Ethan in Book #1 The Secret of Ella and Micha as Lila was the new "Ella's" roommate and the University of Las Vegas and Ethan was Micha's best friend. In Book #3 Ella and Micha are happy and about to get married and have the times of their lives but their friends aren't so fortunate in sharing their version of happy news. Lila's life is starting to crack and her perfect sunny exterior is fading and fast as her addictions to pills and exuberant lifestyle get out of hand and soon Lila finds herself homeless and with no money. She has two options to go back and beg her parents to take her back but this would mean bending to their rules and what a "Summer's" is supposed to act like or taking Ethan up on his offer which is what she reluctantly does after a handful of "I Hate You's". Ethan is the type of guy, that is a sleep with you and then see you later . He believes himself to be incapable of love and doesn't do affection as growing up he saw what a lie affection can be with an abusive father who used affection to soothe over his wife after beating her. The one person he did get close to loving though was London, who we discovered suffered an accident after Ethan left her and he is wracked inside with guilt. Ethan has vowed not to touch or fall in love with Lila , but can the both of them withstand the temptation that stands between them ? Are they both willing to give a relationship a go and could this relationship be what they both need to help them move forward with their lives and start to break down some of the walls that they have both put up around their hearts ?
