Review: Keeper VS Reaper - Book #1 Graveyard Guardians - Jennifer Malone Wright - August 2014

 Growing up Lucy Estmond family has been known as the Keepers of the Souls and protects the Graveyards so that the souls can rest peacefully.  Jack Walker is on the other side of the fence, he is a Reaper where they steal the souls before the Keepers can take them, they live on the energy of others. However , War is destined to break out between the pair as the prophecy is coming true. It was prophesied a long time ago, that the seventh daughter in the Estmond Family who would be born on the seventh day on the seventh month would be the Keeper that would bring the end to the Reapers and Lucy is that Keeper. Jack Walker has been sent to kill her , but he isn't just any odd reaper Jack is the Prince of the Reapers and the only heir to the Reaper Throne and is father is ill so it seems that Jack may be King sooner than he intended. What starts out just like any mission, will turn topsy-turvy as Jack and Lucy have a connection, something that has never ever been experienced between the two arch-enemies before. When it comes to the crunch though, who will Jack choose - his family and legacy or will he turn his back on it all for the one he loves and will Lucy's family and the other Keepers accept him ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
