Review: Playing with Trouble - Chanel Cleeton

Playing with Trouble (Capital Confessions, #2)

Review: Playing with Trouble - Chanel Cleeton - July 2015

After the scandal that rocked Blair's family in Book #1 when it was discovered that she had a half-sister called Jackie and since her dad is quite a fearsome Senator , the press had a field day especially one tabloid gossip blog in particular "Capitol Confessions" hence where the title of this series comes from. The blog Capitol Confessions, which features a snippet at the heading of each chapter reminded me of the tv show and books "Gossip Girl" where during the series "Gossip Girl" would leak secrets of the cast around, secrets that each and everyone of them were trying to keep hidden to themselves. Blair is studying law and it seems that the hunky Professor Graydon Canter aka Gray, has it in for Blair as he always calls on her during class and loves to see her squirm. The truth of the matter though is this pair are attracted to each other, but their pride stands in the way of them actually getting off their high horses and doing something about it. Fate will push them together not only in a pro bono work project but at charity events as it turns out that Mr Canter is in high demand and has made the hottest "Thirty under Thirty list' which makes him the ideal eligible bachelor. If only is personality didn't make him hard to be around. With not only their lives but careers on the line , can Blair and Gray keep up a front and not let anyone know their secret ,even keeping it quiet from Capitol Confessions -which will be a mission in itself ? Or as the title suggests are the duo "Playing with Trouble" ?
Find out in this hot new Politics Meets Hunky Professor/Student New Adult romance today. Though this is Book #2 - it can also be read as a stand-alone novel.
