VBT# Lucian Divine - Renee Carlino

I had read Renee's previous works and loved them all as they touch on one of my favorite ideas. The idea that out there is true love and soulmates and second chance loves. They showed readers that no matter what happened, the distance you have to go or the years you were separated if you were meant to be you would. It is one of my fantasy romantic notions. Coming to Lucian Divine, I wasn't sure how this book was going to be as it is her first Paranormal Romance. Lucian Divine is a guardian angel but not our usual type, sure he has wings, but he is a drunk and prefers to throw back whiskey. He is the guardian angel of Evelyn aka Evie. Lately, he has been getting sick and tired of her making the wrong mistakes when it comes to boyfriends and one night he steps in and reveals himself to her. After a realization of the mistake he has made, he tries to wipe her memory, but it fails. This is a first, but we are about to discover that with this pair no matter how many times you try to separate them it will make their feelings for one another stronger as they start to fall in love. Normally this would be alright if they were both angels or both humans, but they aren't and this starts to lead to deadly consequences for Lucian and Evie. As the book goes along, we read as they try to keep their love strong but when they experience tragedy after tragedy can they keep their happiness and love going? This book hits a real sad spot, and I was like nooooooooooo this can't be the end of it and was wondering how Renee was going to finish the book. I have to admit in a way I saw the ending coming, in saying that I read the last chapter twice as it filled me with glee each time.  I shall end the review here by saying that if you love Paranormal Romance and Mixed Species relationships, then you will love Lucian Divine as even in this genre Renee Carlino has captured the idea of true love and soulmates.
