Review: Bride to Keep - Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan
Review: Bride to Keep - Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan - June 2018
This book had three of my favorite things which drew me to read it. A) an amazing cover, B) a reverse harem novel and C) it was listed as dark romance fiction. First off, this has to be one of the most stunning covers I have seen in a while, I could stare at it all day. This book starts off in the US with the O'Shea Brothers burning down one of their arch-enemies Dallas Callaghan's house. Dallas is responsible for killing their parents. When then read as the O'Shea brothers talk about their sister Alana and her fascination with a local new-age shop run by Monet. The brothers needing to get away to Ireland quick and also they would do absolutely anything for their sisters and themselves, decide to kidnap Monet and take her with them. It's not an easy feat to do so as they have to make it look like she is gone for good and off the grid. When they finally arrive in Ireland, Monet discovers that just like she wants all four of the O'Shea Brothers, they want her just as much. Hence the Reverse Harem part comes into play. Add in the BDSM, multiple sex partners and the fact they kidnapped her - this is the dark romance. I have to say this book had a sad part where I was like noooooo but I did like how the ending redeemed itself and in a way brought the whole idea of the circle of life into play. So if you are in the mood for reverse harems, hot sex, and hunky Irishmen then this is the Dark Romance read for you.
