Review: The Serial Killer's Sister - Alice Hunter

Review: The Serial Killer's Sister - Book #3 The Serial Killer's Family - Alice Hunter - May 2023

As children Anna and her brother Henry ended up in a group home and Henry was always very protective and needed Anna. Sometimes he would create games that would cause bad consequences if she didn't play. Seventeen years ago, one of those games ended up with someone dead and a dark secret kept. Now that dark secret is about to come and bite her on the bottom as someone is killing and the police believe that it is Henry and that Anna will be his next victim. How has Anna's brother turned into a serial killer and how is it connected to their past? As I had read the previous two books in this series, I was excited to read this one. I was a little disappointed with the direction it went but as it went along, unlike the other two books - this one chucked everything you thought you knew out the window, and when the killer/ secrets were revealed, it was like OMFG. Those who have read The Ledge by Christian White will know what I mean with the twist at the ending as it was the same as this book, but gender-swapped. I was blown away as I did not see this coming, but then also it annoyed me a little as the police officer didn't recognize her, and I feel that if what was said was the truth then he should have recognized her from the get-go. Therefore, because of the ending and I am a real ending girl - it lost a star from me, so will be getting 3Ps instead of 4Ps. Overall, this was a great thriller and does have a great twist that will leave you mindblown as it did me.
