Review: Nearly Gone - Elle Cosimano

Review: Nearly Gone - Elle Cosimano - March 2014

Do you love reading teen mysteries ? Love the suspense that you get when you flick through the pages in anticipation of knowing "whodunnit" ? Are Maths and Science an interest of yours ?
Nearly Gone by Elle Cosimano features high-schooler Nearly Boswell aka Leigh. One of her pet loves is reading through the Missed Connections part of the paper as it is her way of communicating with her father. Somebody else knows that and now wants Nearly dead or at the very least framed for murder as murderous notes start appearing in the Missed Connections and then girls that go to school or/and been tutored by Nearly are turning up either dead or injured and the only one who knows that the ad's and incidents are connected is Nearly. How can she tell the police this without instigating herself ? As the novel reads on, we discover that Nearly's past and present plays a huge part in the book and in the goal of trying to decipher the clues.  Why does somebody want Nearly out of the way ? Is it just for the scholarship or something far more deadlier ?
This was an awesome and fast-paced read and I so did not see the Killer ending up the person it was and what a twist at the end.
