VBT# Faking Perfect - Rebecca Phillips

Review: Faking Perfect - Rebecca Phillips - June 2015

It's interesting reading books where quite a few seem to follow a specific trend , one of the biggest ones I have seen are books where the main character comes from either a broken home or an abusive one. The character tends to go two ways, she either falls into the "stay away from me " as I am broken or damaged or she tries to fake her way through life acting cheery and what she thinks classifies as the "perfect" one. For Lexi Shaw, she took the latter option . On the inside , she lives with an abusive sometimes but neglectful mother and has one night stands with bad boys - one in particular is Tyler who is the school's epitome of Bad Boy.  The thing is though that Lexi has a crush on Ben - her friend and the popular golden boy at school. But when she finally gets to date her dream guy, will she discover that often those who appear good and perfect are actually ugly creatures inside and that those who appear as Bad eggs are the ones with the biggest hearts ?  Faking Perfect was a journey of self-discovery and finding out that she is wanted for who she is and not what people expect her to be.
