Review: Trickery - Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington

Trickery (Curse of the Gods, #1)

Review : Trickery - Book #1 Curse of the Gods - Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington - February 2017
Willa Knight has the curse of getting into trouble, though in this case, her curse may turn into a gift when she decides to change her grades to be able to graduate. The thing is though that by giving herself one of the highest grades, she has found herself in the position of heading to The Academy along with her best friend. Luckily her best friend knows everything that there is about the academy and has managed to school Willa on the important things. Though her bad luck is about to continue as when they get to the school, she has been mistaken as a boy and assigned to the dorms of the Abcurse Brothers and there is five of them and as the law dictates she must serve their every need. This would have been easier if she wasn't so clumsy and stubborn. I have to admit though that this was one of the reasons I loved the character of Willa was that she was a regular girl who didn't have a care in the world and she was simply just herself. I don't normally go for paranormal/supernatural books the past few years to current as I got bored with them. But I loved this one as it had a really fun female lead who was realistic as her character was made to be like an everyday girl – not a superstar, Gods and Goddesses and a reverse harem scenario which I love.
I am now looking forward to reading Book #2 and seeing how Willa's relationship grows with the Abcurse Brothers in both a personal and a working one and also what other mayhem Willa can get into.
