Review: Just for the Summer - Abby Jimenez
Review: Just for the Summer - Book #3 Part of Your World Series - Abby Jimenez -April 2024
First off, even though this is Book #3 it can be read as a standalone. Just for the Summer is the first title by Abby Jimenez that I have read and I enjoyed it as it had contemporary romance, but also family issues and a bit more depth on both sides than just your normal light fluffy summer-love romance tale. Justin and Emma are the types of people, you date just before you find the one you are to be with forever. When Justin has had enough, he goes on Reddit and that's when Emma spots it. The two chat and decide to try and be an experiment to one another and break the "curse". As Emma works as a traveling nurse, she has got work for her and her foster sister/best friend Maddie spots in Minnesota. While in Minnesota, Justin and Emma get together and we see sparks fly. However, when it comes to saying goodbye, will the pair go their separate ways or will Emma have finally found a family she wants to be a part of? In this book too, we also read as both Justin and Emma have mum issues. Emma is an absent mother with mental health issues who shows up like a whirlwind and then leaves Emma to pick up the pieces and Justin's mum is preparing to spend life in prison after she was caught embezzling money from the firm she worked at. If you are in the mood for a good romance with substance and a book you won't want to put down then check out Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez. I am now excited to check out and read the rest of her books.
