Review: It Starts With Us - Book #2 It Ends With Us Series - Colleen Hoover - October 2022

When it comes to Colleen Hoover, I will read her books and give them a go, this is because of one reason besides the fact that I do enjoy them. It's because I was there when she began her writing journey back in 2012 with Slammed. We belonged with a few more authors, a Facebook group called Bookaholics Anonymous and I remember reading an ARC of Slammed and listening to Colleen planning out the book in the group. From there, I saw her release more titles grow as an author, and then get her big break with the movie It Ends With Us. I haven't seen the movie as I am worried the casting won't be right for me, as the same thing happened when I tried to watch her series Confess based on the book. Though I do admit when I read this book, I had the actor who played Ryle in my mind, and for Lily- I did have a similar blonde to Blake Lively in my mind but more like the female who played the lead in Forever My Girl based on Heidi McLaughlin. In Book #2 Lily is reunited with Atlas and she has finally gotten the courage to leave Ryle and has been single for the past two years , raising their daughter .  Can Lily and Atlas finally get their HEA or will Ryle use their daughter to gain leverage? Find out in Book #2 It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover. Even though this one says Starts and the Other says End - please read It Ends With Us First as that way the story will make sense as this is purely a sequel and not a prequel tale.

  Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling.
