Review: Dear Emily - Book #1 Forever Family Series - Trudy Stiles - December 2013

Are you wanting to read a heartfelt story ? One that will tug at your heartstrings and may even reflect something in your life ? For me , that was Dear Emily by Trudy Stiles. I have had this book on my wishlist to read ever since I participated in the cover reveal as I loved the cover so much and then reading the blurb it sounded like something up my alley. In Dear Emily, we meet Carly who suffered a tragedy in University and then later as a result she was unable to have children and wanting to adopt a child to help complete her family. The other main female character was Tabitha who is the mother of Emily - the baby that Carly will be adopting. Reading Tabitha's story and what she was feeling was the part that tugged at my heartstrings as due to circumstances I have had two nephews go into other families as my sister in ways resembled Tabitha and was unable to look after her two boys whereas Tabitha had already given up one daughter and was about to give up another. The title comes from the fact that both parties write letters to Emily as she is still in the womb. I loved the way that this author added letters to Emily to thread through the story and I cannot wait for the next book in this series. If you are wanting a new author to discover and a lovely book to settle down with then head now and purchase your copy of "Dear Emily" as this is one book that needs to go on everyone's reading lists for 2013/2014.
