VBT# Inebriated - Katey Taylor
Review: Inebriated - Katey Taylor - February 2019
It is the summer before their final year in high school and they are itching to have the time of their lives before having to knuckle down their last year. The three friends Cait, Steph and Allie all have fake IDS and love to catch the BART to San Francisco and go clubbing. They have the idea that a little alcohol is fun and not a risk or danger as a tiny bit never hurt anyone. As the summer goes on though, the drinking starts to increase and the girls soon find themselves in some bad situations from blacking out and not knowing what has happened to wake up in strange places with no memories of the night before. Cait and Allie soon get boyfriends and neither is a good guy as Allie's boyfriend Keith is controlling and tries to hit on Cait and Steph and starts to put a wedge between the girls, he also introduces the girls particularly Allie and Steph to the world of Cocaine. During this time Cait too finds herself into a whirlwind romance with a rockstar and he too is heavily into the whole drugs and alcohol scene. What will happen though when one night leads into a tragedy and their senior year begins with only two of the three girls? Find out in Inebriated by Katey Taylor. A novel that shows the truth of how fast alcohol and drugs can change into a fun activity to addiction to dangerous and sometimes deadly consequences.
