Review: Bully Me - Selena
Review: Bully Me - Book #1 Willow Heights Prep School - Selena - January 2020
You know how sometimes when
you read a particular trope and everything feels the same for a while but then
you get a book that stands out and is a tad different, that for me was Bully Me
by Selena. The Dolce family is divorcing and their dad is moving them
back to a town he spent his high school years in - a small town in Arkansas.
The family doesn't lose money but they will try and regain their status as
Kings of the school as back in Manhattan - nobody messed with the Dolce family
which includes our main female lead Crystal and her brothers King, Duke, Royal
and Baron. The thing though is that there already is a family that is ruling
the school of Willow Heights - The Darlings and they aren't just about to roll
over and let the Dolces take charge as The Darlings rule the town of Faulkner -
they are old money. These Darlings are another breed of bullies though as they
divide the school by two - the Darling Dolls and the Darling Dogs. Crystal
Dolce gets on their bad side and becomes labeled as a Dog, but their
bullying takes a new level when they kidnap her. OMG, it was so intense and
then when Devlin's mum played into the bullying, I was like WTF. Will the
Dolces end up getting their revenge on the Darlings and become the new Kings of
the school or will they realize they are out of their league with the sadistic
Darlings? Bully Me also ended on a massive cliffhanger, that now makes me want
Book #2 to hurry up and be released.
