Review: Dark Ballerina : An Enchanted Anthology

Review: Dark Ballerina - An Enchanted Anthology - Various Authors - July 2018
Continuing on my journey to clear my kindle of old titles - Dark Ballerina had captured my attention as I loved books about dancing and also this anthology contained a handful of my favorite authors like Sara Schoen, Erin Lee, etc. This book was amazing and each story read so quickly, I also liked how each story was like a follow-on to the previous story. Rather than having each author write a different story completely, they had written their stories in timeline order and followed suit with one another and built on the previous tales. Sometimes this way of writing doesn't work but this group of authors pulled it off superbly. The book's main location is the Karnes's Ballet Academy and the various stories feature dancers from the school and their tragic journeys they will endure to be the best, however as the girls are about to see and learn, to be the very best - you have to be ruthless and dangerous and have the mindset of a psychopath as if you have feelings in the ballet world then, unfortunately, you aren't cut out to be living the high life of a Ballerina as the majority of the characters in this book are about to discover. Dark Ballerina was the perfect read that kept you on your toes and if you love YA thrillers, then this is definitely up your alley and should be placed on your reading lists. Dark Ballerina contained the four D's - Drama, Dance, Danger, and Death.
