After enjoying Book #1 The Wedding Date where we saw Alexa and Drew falling in love after meeting in a stuck elevator. We now jump to Book #3 The Wedding Party where it starts with Alexa and Drew meeting back up at one of Alexa's best friend Theo's birthday party. At the birthday party, Alexa's childhood best friend Maddie is dreading the party as she can't stand Theo and whenever the pair seem to meet at events - it always ends up in an argument as Maddie finds Theo has an air of arrogance about him. However, the night is about to end in a surprise as Maddie and Theo end up in bed together and have a wild night of sexual passion. The next day, they decide it should never happen again and so begins a love/hate relationship between the pair. Months later the pair meet up again at Alexa's engagement party to Drew and again the night ends up in wild sex. The pair soon learn from Alexa that they both will be part of her wedding party and will have to work together over the next few months. What will follow is a plan of friends with benefits between Maddie and Theo as they try to keep it a secret from Alexa and their other friends. What will happen though when the line starts to blur between Maddie and Theo and they both start to develop true feelings for one another? I have to admit this was quite a slow-burn romance read for me and took me a bit longer than my normal one-day to read as I found myself having to persevere to finish the book.
