Review: Secrets Never Die - Vincent Ralph

Review: Secrets Never Die - Vincent Ralph - August 2023

With October being here, it is the month of Spooky reads and during this month I try and read a bit more thrillers. Vincent Ralph is a good YA thriller writer that I have enjoyed and so I was excited to read Secrets Never Die. The book starts with a group of friends that for years at Halloween, have gone to a "shed" in the backyard and released their secrets into the "hollow". It is a way to come clean and cleanse themselves of all the past year's burdens. It is their very own confession chamber. That is until one Halloween, their secrets are about to be released into the world unless they complete a few challenges and do someone else's bidding. The group of friends have all been getting messages from someone known as Sasha Rain. Who is Sasha Rain and what does she want? Why is she threatening them with releasing their darkest and deepest secrets to the world? Sam and his friends will be pushed to the edge as their secrets are used against them and when some of their secrets are about one another, their friendships start to crack. Who wants to pull this group apart and why? As Sam goes investigating he soon learns that what is happening is also related to their parents. How is this as they don't talk to one another? Find out in Secrets Never Die by Vincent Ralph,  a thriller that reminded me of Urban Legend 3: Bloody Mary where it's the next generation that gets targeted, paying for their parents' sins.
