Review: Buried - Kendra Elliot

Buried (Bone Secrets, #3)

Review: Buried - Book #3 Bone Secrets - Kendra Elliot - March 2013

One of my favorite female mystery writers is Kendra Elliot, her books are fast-paced and the plot lines pull you in. From those who have read my previous reviews, you will remember meeting Chris Jacobs in the later books - he is the one who married Dr. Gianna Trask. Now we go back a few books to Buried where it starts with a 13-year-old being found who claims he is Chris Jacobs. 18 years later, a group of bodies of children and a few adults is found and an old school bus. 20 years a school bus filled with students disappeared and vanished, there were no leads ever and families were left with no closure including Michael Brody. When he hears the bodies have been found, he hopes one of those is his brother Daniel as only Chris came home. Turns out though that Daniel's body isn't among those found and now the only person who knows the truth about what happened and hopefully can give Michael some answers is Chris Jacobs. The thing is he went off the grid and even his sister Jamie has no idea where he is exactly. When she is attacked, she knows things are grim for Chris and so with Michael's help, she will reluctantly hunt down her brother and the pair of them will discover some dark secrets along the way of what their brother's experience was like.  I loved the twist of Buried and as I had read later books in the series, I knew parts that were coming but if you haven't then the twists will blow your mind.  If you are looking for a new mystery writer to add to your list of authors to check out - then add Kendra Elliot as you will not be disappointed.
