The Quilting Bee (The Amish of Ephrata #2)

Review: The Quilting Bee - Book #2 The Amish of Ephrata Series - Sarah Price - August 2012

After reading The Tomato Patch by Sarah Price, I found myself wanting more of this series as The Tomato Patch spoke to me and touched on the subject of bullying which is quite close to my heart. In the Quilting Bee, it seems that Priscilla is still doing her best to ignore Susie Byler and is happy with her courtship with Stephen. That is until one day when Priscilla and her older brother Jonas head to the market to pick apples and Priscilla sees Susie in Stephen's buggy. She is confused as Stephen is very godly and wouldn't hurt her not intentionally. The misunderstanding is cleared up and all is back on track with Priscilla and Stephen as there is talk about Priscilla making herself a wedding quilt and her family hosting a quilting bee this winter. However, what will happen though when Susie's jealously strikes once again and she starts to spread more rumours about Priscilla in the community. Lies that will even have the Bishop reprimanding Priscilla, when she has done nothing wrong. I love this series as it is not only easy to read but the characters are likable and each book has a strong focus on doing what is right and believing God has your back. I am now looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
