Review: The Abbie Diaries - Amelie Stephens - May 2015


Abbie has always hated Mondays like most people in the world but now she has a reason as Abbie runs a blog and she went in the weekend on a date and then after a night of drinking, she hit publish. The thing is that she might have embellished a bit about her date and of course, she was stupid enough to name names. The thing too is the guy she went on a date with Toby, works with her at the office. Toby is humiliated and talks his best friend Parker into helping him get revenge on Abbie. Then Abbie apologizes and then Toby talks Parker off the ledge, but of course, after another drunken escapade, Abbie decides to make her apology on her blog embarrassing Toby further and so the plan is back on. This works for Parker as he is slowly falling in love with Abbie as he reads her blog and posts and gets to know her online persona and eventually her "real persona".  What will happen though when Abbie finds her heart torn between Parker and Toby and then learns of the plan and in a way both their feelings for her? What a mess, she has gotten herself into, and to think all this could have been avoided if she had stayed away from the alcohol. I have to admit I wasn't overly impressed with the story as Abbie frustrated me as seriously there was a simple solution for her stupidity to stop - don't drink and then Toby - it's like ok, she talked and it went viral but she was trying to make amends and you just couldn't help getting your revenge, you were fixated on it and then there is loyal Parker who just continued in a way to be a doormat and dig himself into a hole.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
