Review: The Serial KIller's Wife by Alice Hunter
Beth's life is about to turn upside down, but will it take a turn for the worse? Beth lives in Lower Tew with her daughter Poppy and her husband Tom. They have been happily married for eight years now. However, all of this is going to come to a halt as her husband's past is about to come to light as he is arrested for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Katie. Katie disappeared eight years ago, just before Tom met Beth. During this book though, we learn that Tom has a violent possessive streak and killed three females including Katie. While this is happening, Beth has become close to Adam - a local widower whose wife Camilla died from a nut allergy. The pair have gotten close during this ordeal and with no one else to turn to, the pair it looks like may start or end up romantically involved. Will Beth stand by Tom during this time and play the naive, dutiful wife or does she have her plan up her sleeve that relies on Tom being arrested and behind bars for good? Can Beth keep up her facade of dutiful and caring wife or will her secrets come out into the open, secrets that make her just as manipulative as her husband Tom? The Serial Killer's Wife by Alice Hunter was a slow-paced UK thriller/ family saga but overall enjoyable and I am now interested in reading the sequel "The Serial Killer's Sister.
