Review: The Vacation - Book #4 Catalyst Cove - Samantha M Thomas - August 2023

It's interesting how as a mood reader, our choices in books change and sometimes a book that is something that you don't read often is exactly what you are feeling for at that moment. With a lot happening in September with family etc., I have found I have struggled reading-wise for myself and as most know, this isn't something I have normally felt. The Vacation by Samantha M. Thomas was a good read and helped me out of my slump for a little while as we were whisked away to an island resort with Jane. Jane's friend is getting married and has paid for their group to spend the week at an exclusive resort. Jane is the last single one in their group and is the youngest and not normally a risk taker. She is determined to have a one-night stand and explore her sexuality while on holiday. Of course, you can see where this book is going as Jane catches the attention of the hot hunky resort owner Pierce. It starts as a romantic fling but when the time is over, will Jane and Pierce be able to go their separate ways, or have they both changed for the better by their experiences? By the end of this book will Jane be the next one saying her "I Do's"? Find out in this very sweet #meetcute romance and it will leave you readers wanting a Pierce of your very own.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers.
