Review: One More Kiss - Book #2.5 White Pine Series - Kim Amos - October 2015

Growing up in a smalltown can be awful especially when you don't exactly fit in with their mould and for Betty Lindholm during her high school years , she was teased and known as Bucky- due to her front teeth but that didn't stop one of the hottest guys Cole from asking her out, unfortunately he would also break her heart and make her wary of her choice in men for years to come. During her high school years , she was picked on by Valerie whom is now on the Church Board and Betty has put her foot in the latest escapade as coming up to Halloween she has made a wonderful yet scary display which has Valerie in knots. It would have been alright except her latest sign for her shop reads Satan is In , instead of Satin is In. This causes a small uproar in the community as rumours spread like wildfire and people start to believe Betty is in cahoots with the Devil. However, this may be the catalyst she needs for her love life to erupt and go places as Betty has caught the eye of the new pastor Randall but he hasn't had the courage to talk to her yet and now an opportunity has arisen with the sign debacle. 
 One More Kiss starts with Betty discovering she is pregnant with Randall's child and then the story jumps back to a year and a half ago with how they met and the lead up to today's events.  If you are looking for an HEA love story set in a new small town - check out the White Pine Series today by Kim Amos.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
