#VBT : Rebel Princess - Lynn Stevens
Review: Rebel Princess - #4 Modern Princess Collection - Lynn Stevens - May 2020
I have been enjoying this
series and the previous two I have read had been quite cutesy romance stories.
Rebel Princess by Lynn Stevens ups the ante as this one I found was quite an
edgier read and does contain quite a few potential triggers for readers. At
first, I was unsure who our Rebel Princess but by the end of the first chapter,
I had an idea. Meet Emmy who is our Esmeralda. She is a dance major and
studying ballet under a critical and harsh teacher Madame Guthrie, but her
passion is journalism and uncovering big stories. The latest one though has her
caught in a crossfire as it involves her ex-boyfriend and some very powerful/
influential students and staff in the school. Her ex follows her and ends up
assaulting her when she is rescued by Quinn - our Quasimodo. Later Emmy meets
back up with Quinn when she visits a local community shelter and the pair hit
it off as Emmy is the first female that Quinn has met since his injuries that
doesn't stare at his scars or treat him differently. The novel follows through
the beginning of their relationship and Emmy's journey to uncovering her big
scoop. What will happen though when everything comes crashing down and it looks
like Emmy might lose not only her life as a university student but also her new
love Quinn? Can Emmy redeem herself and show that even though she rebelled, it
was always for the right reasons and prove to Quinn - that he wasn't wrong
about her? Find out all this and more in Rebel Princess by Lynn Stevens. One of
the edgier books in the Modern Princess Collection.
