Review: Travis - Mia Sheridan

Review: Travis - Mia Sheridan - July 2021

Earlier this year, I read finally Archer's Voice and enjoyed it and then I saw on Instagram, that a friend reading Travis which is like an unofficial sequel and I was like this is my motivation to finally pick it up off my bookshelf and read it. Travis Hale as we learned in Archer's Voice is Archer's half-brother and growing up, he hated Archer as he was fed lies from his mother and always saw himself as second-best to Archer. Now at least 6-8 years after Archer's Voice - Archer and Travis have mended fences Archer is the town Mayor and Travis is the Chief of Police. Archer and Bree are now also parents of twins and a daughter. In the beginning, Travis is about to propose to his girlfriend, but when he turns up she is busy banging someone else. That someone is Easton Torres, a newcomer to town. Later that day, Travis pulls over a female trying to save plants - that someone is Haven Torres. As the book goes along, Haven and Travis become fast friends and we can see the sparks flying but what happens when the town decides to get revenge on Easton on Travis's behalf? Will this make it harder for Haven to trust Travis as when it comes to the crunch, she will always pick her brother over anyone else? I did enjoy this one but not as much as Archer's Voice. I would say if you are going to read this one, then try looking at it as a standalone and separate book from Archer's Voice as you will enjoy it more that way. I am now looking forward to reading her new book coming soon which features Gage Buchanan who was someone else in Travis that had caught Haven's eye but not her heart - that belonged to Travis Hale.
