You know how some books you have them sitting on your pile to read for months as in a way you feel that you are too nervous to start them for one reason or another. I guess I didn't want to feel angsty or too much emotion. Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren was one of those reads I have had sitting on my pile for about three months just waiting to be read. I finally got around to it and enjoyed it as I love friends to lovers stories and second chance romances. Macy and Elliot first met when they were teenagers as Macy's dad brought the house next door to Elliot's and that became their holiday home. Over the years Macy and Elliot built up such an awesome friendship and eventually the pair were inseparable. That was until one night when they were older and dating , Macy walked in on Elliot with another female naked . This was the night before Elliot had asked Macy to marry him. This became the worst day of Macy's life and she blamed Elliot . The pair stopped talking until one day ten years later, they run into one another.  With persuasion, Macy finally agrees to hang out with Elliot and talk. This leads the pair of them to start to have old feelings bubbling to the surface and wondering what if's and that neither one fully got over the other . Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
