Review : And Catch the Fly - Cleo Fox

And Catch the Fly (Woodside Academy #2)

Review: And Catch the Fly - Book #2 Woodside Academy Series - Cleo Fox - September 2019

This is a book I had been looking forward to reading after Book #1 ended on a major cliffhanger with Chanel being kidnapped from home. In Book #2 she wakes up with what feels like a major hangover and she has a black eye, her memory is also blank. She can't remember what happened except for tiny snippets but why would she do those things if she wouldn't normally? She texts her tutors Rhett and his friends as she is scared and no-one else can help as she knows her mother has her fingers in lots of pies. We learn a bit more about her mother's life before Chanel was born with her joining a cult and about the Dragon Soul Child. It makes us wonder if that is who is behind playing with Chanel and calling the shots. I had hoped we might find out a bit more of her dad's death but again it was touched on a little bit. I have to admit I do like the character of Chanel as though she puts on this mask and facade at school, she really is a nice person. Can the boys help Chanel find out what is going on before it's too late and she is attacked again? What has happened to Roberta and who is keeping her mother informed about her going on's when she hasn't been home? Just like the first book, Book #2 ended on a cliffhanger with Red sending a picture to Chanel's mother.  The ending got me thinking that possibly Red is involved with the Dragon cult and they want Chanel. After finishing this book, I am now looking forward to book #3 To Lure a Frog which is said to be released around Halloween.
