Review: Just a Little Sincerity - Book #3 Just a Little - Tracie Puckett - January 2012

Picking up where Book #2 ended with the cliffhanger ending, it had me worried as the book started with Julie at the cemetery as she was talking to a gravestone. Further down the book, we see Luke is on the mend but his and Julie's relationship is still as complicated as ever. In Book #3, Julie has found a passion in organizing the school fall dance but what happens when a bad storm hits the town and Julie finds herself in danger when she decides to leave after an argument. The love triangle is still hinting in this book as Derek and Julie start spending time together at the school dance, but will Julie realize that she isn't getting anywhere with Luke and has a great guy standing in front of her, or will her heart be set on Luke and she has blinders on when it comes to Luke.  Book #3 ends on a slight cliffhanger as well with the effects of the storm on the small town.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost.
