Review: Pretty Wicked - Book #1 Wicked Series - Kelly Charron -  September 2016

This book was talked about recently and funny enough I had been thinking about it, so decided to finally read it. This book was awesome and if you love teen killers and murderers, then this is right up your alley. I have to admit though that this main character was a bit iffy for me. It was like yes, she killed multiple people but there was something about her that was just not right as she came across with a guilt complex and it was what caused her to unravel. It's like seriously, you can not kill people and be careless and have a complex. You can't have it both ways. This book starts with us being introduced to Ryann whose dad is a cop and she has a deep dark secret - she loves to kill and has murdered several people. However, when one of her kills ends up not dying immediately and the cops are closing in - Ryann is getting nervous and is a mess and of course, she has no one to turn to. That is until she ends up getting blackmailed and soon her world is closing in fast. Who is blackmailing Ryann and will she get caught or will she manage to outsmart everyone in their small town? This book was a hard one to read in parts as I got annoyed with the story and Ryann's character but at the same time, I wanted more. I am now looking forward to reading the sequel Wicked Fallout and reading more of this series and reading the aftermath of these events. This series is perfect for fans who liked characters like Veronica Mars, and Nancy Drew but as a Killer Version.
