Review: Her Greatest Mistake - Book #1 Greatest Love Series - Hannah Cowan - January 2023

In a mission to clear my bookshelf, I picked up Hannah Cowan's first book in the Greatest Love Series and was surprised at how quickly I got through it though, to be honest, it was an easy read and a theme I have read several times over. Her Greatest Mistake starts with Braxton and Maddox sitting in their treehouse as Maddox is off on his hockey journey as his career is just starting and Braxton tells him, she will always be by his side as their love is forever. Years pass and we see that the pair went their separate ways and lost contact with each other and how Braxton broke Maddox's heart which was a twist that made this title a little different as normally it is the guy that makes the first "bad move" not the female. The other thing we read is that there is bad blood between Braxton's father and Maddox that stems from years ago and played a huge part in their separation when they were younger. Now years later Maddox is a big NHL hit but after a bad move, his career is of course on the line - why are we not surprised as this also always seems to be a running theme with these ice hockey romances ( not that it is a bad thing of course). Braxton on the other hand ended up becoming a Vet and opening her clinic and now the pair are about to come face to face as Maddox needs to do some community charity work and his boss has suggested helping out at Heights Vet Clinic but what he doesn't realise is Braxton and Maddox's history. Can the pair who were once tight that nothing could come between them until they broke each other's hearts work together and in doing so reignite that spark they still have for each other and heal not only their hearts but also their families and careers?   Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling.
