Hunter's Blood- Marianne Morea

Today's Halloween October read features a variety of Supernatural creatures from Vampires to Shades( Ghosts) to Werewolves . The main two featuring Shades and Werewolves.  I actually like having the little witch reading a book to represent any books that fall into the supernatural category that I'm thinking I should as a blog picture, have a different one to represent each genre I read ? How does that sound :)

Review : Hunter's Blood - Marianne Morea - August 2010

Hunter's Blood is not only a wonderful supernatural read but it is also a wonderful story that holds an underlining issue of how far someone will go in the name of grief.
For main character Lily - a psychic that has become a supernatural bounty hunter lost her best friend and business partner Terry ( a girl) about 2 months ago to a vicious werewolf attack. Now spurned with revenge for her friends life being taken away, she has made it her mission to hunt down and kill every goddamn supernatural that walks the earth well in her hometown anyway.
When Lily starts to pick up the sense of the animal -in this case the werewolf that killed her friend, she is ready this time with the whole nine yards of ammunition, the wolf will feel the wrath of her revenge. However , things turn sour when Lily is attacked by the wolf herself, her friend Terry appears and seeks help-well as much as a Shade can ( after reading Shade by Jeri-Smith Ready I'm now familiar with the term). Lucky for Lily, Werewolf Sean Leighton can see and hear Terry and takes her back to his pack. Soon Lily is involved with the werewolf pack as she seems to have contracted a werewolf virus from Sean's brother's bite. Of course as we can all guess what happens Lily finds herself torn with raw emotions - her love for Sean and the grief and guilt of her friend Terry ? Will Lily follow what she knows is right or will her emotions stand in the way.

  2. I have read this book and it is every bit as good as she says. It is different. Not your normal paranormal read. The grief Lily struggles with is overpowering to her and leads her to her destiny. Very interesting plot line and the characters are very compelling. I loved it.
    Great Job Marianne.
