Seven Deadly Sins : Gluttony

It is Day 4 of the month of October and to help celebrate and get into the theme of Halloween , I am going to try and bring you as many books that fit into the Supernatural theme of Halloween.
Every time that you see the little witch reading a book at the top of a review , that means that it falls into the Halloween Category.

                                                                  Wicked Appetite

Review : Wicked Appetite - Janet Evanovich - September 2010 - Book #1 in the Wicked Series

We all know the seven deadly sins off by heart , a bit like we can rattle off the names of the seven dwarfs in Snow White or the fact that we can remember the colours of the rainbow - ROYGBIV.
Many centuries ago, somebody created seven stones of power each one representing the seven deadly sins. For centuries treasure hunters , a bit like Brendan Fraser in The Mummy , Noah Wyle in The Librarian , Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and Sydney Fox - Relic Hunter or Piers Knight from Brooklyn Knight have searched and searched for the stones and have not yet prevailed with any luck.
The whereabouts of the stones have been discovered by the "BUM" and are situated in Salem, Massachusetts. Now it's a race of wits and powers as Gerwulf Grimoire and his cousin Diesel aim to each secure the stones. Gerwulf for his own power and benefit and Diesel for the goverment aka "BUM". However , in order to find the stones in their true form, they need a finder - in comes Lizzy Tucker - worker at a Cupcake store.
A fun read as we watch the interactions between the threesome of Diesel, Wulf and Lizzy , watch Lizzy's friend Glo make a mess of her magic spells and cause mayhem and find out how Lizzy got stuck with a ninja ,glass-eyed cat and a rude and arrogant monkey.
Nobody said it was going to be easy , Lizzy just didn't think it would be this hard as the stones magic starts to wear off on her making her a glutton for all sorts of strange things and objects.

This is a series that I cannot wait for Janet to write the next one as I laughed my way through the story. I hadn't read anything of hers before but after reading Wicked Appetite she is one of my new authors to add to my list to explore and read.
