Review: Creativity for Christians - Sheilah Vance

Being a Christian , is something that I am proud of , it is something that I can hold my beliefs too and for those who don't realise it or just in case you have meet some pretty hypocritical pharisees/Christians out there. Being a Christian does not mean judging people just because they don't share the same beliefs as you - it means opening your eyes and heart to the world of others around you. Just remember Jesus wasn't critical of others and he definitely didn't judge them based on their lifestyles.
The second awesome thing about being a Christian, is simply the fact that being a Christian means I don't turn my cheek and shy away from reading books that are Christian Fiction and Non-Fiction as readers , there are some pretty awesome books that fall into the genre of Christian.
Today's book is titled "Creativity for Christians" and is provided as a review copy from Netgalley

Creativity for Christians: How to Tell Your Story and Stories of Overcoming from the Members of One Special Church (Personal Christian Testimony P)

Review: Creativity for Christians - Sheilah Vance - September 2010

As a Christian we sit there and listen to others talk about their testimonies , how they met God/ how they came to be saved and some are pretty amazing and others like mine can be a bit bland as growing up in a Christian home, though I have had more than your average trials and triumphs and God's provision -to me Ive lived a pretty sheltered life and quite frankly I'm sure people would get bored listening to me ramble on , though on the other side -they might just enjoy it as that's what I tend to do with some of the reviews I write.
In the bible Revelations 12v11 - It talks about God telling the world of Christians that it is will that we all share our testimonies with each other as whether we realise it or not we all have a story to share and tell and even better is that it will affect at least one person who hears it :).
Creativity for Christians teaches readers juts how to do that - relax, find your story and overcome the fear of sharing your testimony as I once heard at a Church sermon about Fear is that Fear is simply False Evidence Appearing Real.
The book is split into two parts, the first is a course in teaching you how to prepare and write your own testimony and if you need that little bit extra push- it does include some Christian writing exercises. The second part of the story is in order to spark your inspiration and show you that everyone has a story, the second part is a collection of other Christians testimony , stories that were written to overcome the fear .
Creativity for Christians is a book that I recommend everyone should have and if you are thinking of a career as a budding pastoral team or elder or even a career as a public speaker, then it is something that you should add to your necessity list.
