Review: Will the Real Prince Charming Please Stand Up ? - Book #1 Westgate Prep Series - Ella Martin - June 2014

Bianca and her best friends Talia, Abby, and Finn, and Jake decided on trying a social experiment to show that popularity is easy and doesn't have to be always won by cheerleaders and those with high social standing. With a bit of publicity and carefully curated content, anyone can win if they have the look to go with it. When Bianca wins a place on the Homecoming Court, she is thrust into the popularity spotlight and that comes with the attention of the high school hottie Dante Schwartz. The thing though is Bianca has always thought he was hot and so when he starts to pay attention to her, she laps it up and soon despite her best friend Talia's warnings accepts his request to be his girlfriend. However, Bianca will soon discover that being Dante's girlfriend isn't all sunshine and roses and he isn't a Prince Charming. Will she be able to get out of the situation before it turns dangerous or will something bad has to happen before she realizes things are out of control and that a true Prince Charming is waiting in the wings for her as she comes to her senses about what's right and wrong in life.  The other thing that kept running through my mind every time I thought about the title of this book was Eminem's song "Will the Real Slim Shady Please Stand Up" and wondered if the author Ella Martin thought about that song title when she was choosing the perfect title for her book.  Will the Real Prince Charming Please Stand Up? By Ella Martin was a fun YA read with a little edge and would be considered a clean teen read.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
