Review : The Rosewood Hunt - Mackenzie Reed - October 2023

One of my favorite book series that I have enjoyed is The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes as I just loved the idea of scavenger hunts and treasure riddles/codes. I have read a couple like that and this is the exact feeling I got when I read Mackenzie Reed's new book The Rosewood Hunt thanks to HarperCollins NZ. The book introduces us to the Rosewood family, the elites of Rosetown - things though haven't been great for them lately as the wives left and Lily's dad committed suicide. Now the matriarch of the family has died suddenly and at the will reading where present was Uncle Arbour, Daisy, and Lily Rosewood - they learn none of them have inherited the business Rosewood Inc. or the fortune and Rosewood Manor. Neither are sure where the money etc has gone. That is until Lily reads her letter and discovers it's a secret message and she finds a 1/4 of a map. Soon she will meet three others who had interactions with her Grandmother and together they will form one big map and be sent on the hunt for the missing fortune. They will have to be clever and try and keep one another safe as others have flocked to town to find the money and a few are playing as dirty as they can get. Who will be the winning recipient of the Rosewood fortune and what will be waiting in that final letter on the other side of the door? Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
