Going Wild (The Infamous Frankie Lorde #2)

Review: Going Wild - Book #2 The Infamous Frankie Lorde - Brittany Geragotelis - August 2021

This book caught my attention as I love books about thieves and this one screamed similar to Gallagher Girls/ Heist Society by Ally Carter and other ones I have read in a similar vein. Frankie Lorde's parents were both mastermind thieves and ever since Frankie was a young girl, she wanted to be just like her dad and completed her first job when she was only eight years old. The book then jumps to now and she is 17 and her father - the famous Tom Lorde has been arrested by the FBI and behind bars. Frankie is now living with her Uncle Scotty- her dad's brother who is now ironically a Police Officer. While her dad is behind bars, Frankie has made a new friend called Ollie and he has become her somewhat apprentice and partner in crime. Their latest heist is a Robin Hood-type adventure as they have learned a couple of socialites are trafficking exotic animals to the wealthy and breaking a few rules of their own. Going Wild is about exposing their crimes and at the same time helping out a few sanctuaries as who says crime doesn't pay and sometimes the criminals are our heroes.
Frankie Lorde is Nancy Drew mixed with Veronica Mars and this generation's YA spy/crime star to fall in love with.
