Review: Dead Ringer - Jessie Rosen
Review: Dead Ringer - Jessie Rosen - November 2015
One year ago the small town
of Englewood suffered a major tragedy when a student Sarah Castro-Tanner jumped
off the local bridge and supposedly committed suicide. Everyone wrote it off as
a tragic accident and decided not to talk about it again. That is until a new
student Laura Rivers turns up and the whispers start again as Laura looks
similar to Sarah, they could pass as
sisters. This story has three sides to it, we have Sasha - who is invested in
finding out the truth about what happened to Sarah and as an amazing hacker,
she decides to tap into the Englewood High School students' network and set up
some alerts in case anyone searches Sarah's name. Things for her have been
quiet until now and now with new information rolling in, she has upped her hacker
game skills. Laura soon starts to date Charlie, who we discover was involved
with Sarah, and he and his friends were with her the night she died. Can Laura
find out the truth about what happened that night? This book had an amazing twist
to the story, that when it was revealed - it did make sense and brought
everything that happened into perspective but was still like WOAH. If you are
looking for an edgy YA Thriller then Jessie Rosen's Dead Ringer is the read for
you. Fans of Natalie D. Richards and Natasha Preston will love this read.
