Review: The Perfect Ruin - Shanora Williams - August 2021
After reading Shanora William's book The Other Mistress, and enjoying the psychological thriller and the edgy twists and turns. I wanted to go back and read some of her other books. I grabbed The Perfect Ruin and set to read this. This one was just as a crazy ride as The Other Mistress. In The Perfect Ruin, we meet Ivy who has been going to a therapist for years ever since her parents were killed and now she has finally been presented with the name of the person who killed her parents and in her mind completely ruined her life. Now Ivy has the name, she is prepared to ruin the person's life as they ruined hers. The name on the paper belongs to Lola Maxwell who is a wealthy philanthropist and owner of a charity helping young mums. Ivy gets plastic surgery from Lola's husband and slowly starts to infiltrate Lola's life and soon gains Lola's trust as one of her BFFs. Lola's other friends are suspicious as Ivy has come up the ranks too quickly in their minds and something isn't sitting right with them. What happens though when Ivy's plan to ruin Lola, gives someone else the perfect opening for their ruin of Lola Maxwell? Someone who has been planning their own 'Perfect Ruin" ever since the accident and now Ivy has provided them with a perfect scapegoat as well. Will the "Perfect Ruin" end up Ivy's downfall or will she be the one doing the ruining and come out on top? Find out in Shanora William's 2021 hit "The Perfect Ruin", a crazy psychological thriller rollercoaster.
