Review: East End - Nana Malone

East End (Hear No Evil Trilogy, #1)

Review: East End - Book #1 Hear No Evil Series - Nana Malone - October 2020

Catching up with trying to clear my ever-growing ebook pile, I decided to read East End by Nana Malone as had been meaning to for a while now. I enjoyed the twists of the first series - See No Evil so was interested to read the next part of the series with Hear No Evil. Hear No Evil features East Hale - one of the guys in the London Lords and Ben Covington's inner circle. The book starts with East noticing someone taking sneaky photos of him and the guys in the bar, East jumps up and follows, and after a tackle and tussle ends up getting the SD card while the photographer dashes away into the night. Turns out the photographer was Interpol agent Nyla Kincaid. Nyla is convinced that all of the London Lords, including East Hale, are dirty and she wants to bring them down. East tries to explain, but Nyla isn't having a bar of it. The book then jumps to Nyla and East finally working together and having sparks flying and we have hope for the potential couple. That is until the cliffhanger moment and we are left wondering whether everything that went on with her with East was a lie or is she determined to risk everything including herself to bring down the supposed Elites Pop Ltd secret society that the London Lords are trying to change for the better. I have to admit I did love the more romantic suspense and edgier angle that the See No Evil series - Ben and Olivia's story had and hoping that the next couple of books in this series picks up a bit in excitement levels – also what is up with the bad exes all starting with the letter “D” LOL.
