The Ravens (The Ravens, #1)

Review: The Ravens - Book #1 The Ravens - Kass Morgan and Danielle Paige - November 2020

I was at work the other day and this book caught my attention and screamed "read me", a bit like Alice in Wonderland and the potion. I was intrigued by the tagline of - these sorority girls are real witches. Two things I love are books about teenage witches and sororities and this had both. Vivi is just starting college and is finally looking for a reprieve from the "magic world" her mother has brought her up, despite her mother giving her warnings that the college is going to be the death of her. At Westerly there is a sorority that contains real witches and teaches them how to harness their magic and expand their skills. Vivi is invited and soon finds herself discovering that magic is very real and that she is more powerful than she ever knew. What happens though when ex-sister Gwen turns up and dangerous and deadly things start to occur at the sorority house? Is their dark magic at play and can the old sisterhood and the newcomers work together to develop their powers and protect themselves from all danger that threatens to ruin and expose them? I am now looking forward to the sequel and what things that Book #2 - The Monarchs will bring. The Ravens are the perfect mix of thrillers, college fiction, and supernatural. The Ravens reminded me of a mix between the movie The Craft: Legacies and the TV Series WINX which has just started on Netflix.
