Review: Beautiful Mess - Book #1 Sinners High - Melody Adams - December 2020



Needing a new Bullymance with a twist to read? I liked this one and found it in the same similar vein to Daniela Romero's Sun Valley Devils series. The book starts with our main female character lying in hospital after a suicide attempt and at the end of the first chapter she reflects on what led her to this moment. The book then jumps a few months back to when our main character Abby moves in with her Aunty and cousin Beth. Abby's mother has just passed and since Abby has no other family left, she has moved in with her aunty. She hopes things will be different with her cousin as her cousin has always resented her and made her out to look like the villain. When Abby arrives though, she captures the attention of the KINGS which represent Sinners High Royalty. Sadly, one of the guy’s Nate is Beth's boyfriend and she isn't pleased that Abby is gaining attention and so she decides to concoct a plan which leaves Abby an outcast and bullied. Nate dishes the job of punishment out to Kent who sees this as a chance to not only break Abby but get her to like him as he finds her hot. However, as Kent goes along with it, he soon realizes that the Abby that Becky claims she is like doesn't match up and that he doesn't know who exactly to believe. As the book goes along and Kent and Abby start to fall in love with each other, Beth decides to take things into her own hands and aims to get rid of Abby once and for all. Will Beth succeed in her twisted plans or will karma come for Beth and bite her in the backside, find out in Book #1 of Sinners High - Beautiful Mess by Melody Adams.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
