Review: We All Fall Down - Natalie D. Richards

Review: We All Fall Down - Natalie D. Richards - October 2017

I had been looking forward to reading this one as Natalie D. Richards is a favourite YA thriller author of mine and similar to authors like Natasha Preston and Gretchen McNeil and SE Green, a YA version of Riley Sager. This one, however, was a bit of an odd read and had more of a paranormal haunting feel to it and was strange. It was like is the town being poisoned and that's what's making them crazy or are they being haunted? Are they hallucinating and hearing from ghosts or is someone making them feel paranoid and gaslighting them? The book starts with two friends that seem to have a toxic friendship. Theo is in love with Paige, but too gutless to tell her how he feels and so when Paige ends up with Chase, things start to go haywire Theo sees red and aims for Chase and ends up punching Paige instead. This incident ends up tearing their friendship in half and they are forced to go their separate ways. I have to admit, Paige's character annoyed me as she seems the whole novel just wants to blame Theo for everything that goes wrong in her life. We All Fall Down is a story where the Bridge of Love Locks is at the centre of the tale and everything is attached to this bridge - the good, the bad, and the ugly.  If you love ghostly novels and gothic reads, then check out We All Fall Down by Natalie D. Richards.
