Review:  My First How to Catch the Big Bad Wolf  - Alice Walstead - March 2023

 I am trying my hardest for 2023, to clear my books backlist and that means reading and reviewing books from Netgalley, that I have gotten in years past like this one. This was a very cute picture book aimed at children aged 3-6 years old. We meet our little girl narrator who loves fairytales as a child doesn't. Of course, as we all know the villain of most fairytales is a Big Bad Wolf. In How to Catch the Big Bad Wolf, the little girl will go through fairytales and nursery rhymes like The Boy Who Cried Wolf and the Three Little Pigs to Little Red Riding Hood and come up with some creative ways how to catch the big bad wolf before it can do any harm to the characters of the books in the stories.  The illustrations created by Joel and Ashley Selby are also very beautiful and fun and exciting that makes children and adults want to pick up this picture book. This is one picture book you can't go wrong with as what child doesn't like fairytales?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
