Review: Entangled - Jessica Sorensen

Review: Entangled - Book #2 Guardian Academy Series - Jessica Sorensen - May 2016

On this particular day of reading, I found myself in a reading slump as nothing I tried could catch my attention as everything just felt so blah. I find one of the authors that I can always count on when I find myself getting sucked into a reading slump is Jessica Sorensen. Entangled is Book #2 in her Guardian Academy series. In this series, we meet Alana whose grandfather has died and told her to hide a dagger. Higher authorities are after the dagger and Alana's grandfather has not only been accused of going rogue but also of murder. Alana doesn't believe her grandfather could have done this, but she's about to realize just how much can we trust those around us and especially those close to us. In this book, Alana finds herself marked with the Electi and then stumbles across a field of dead fae which leads her to watching the battle unfold through one of the deceased, and now only she knows who the killer is. Alana is a mystery as people at the Academy can't put their finger on what she is exactly and currently in this book, she finds herself entangled with Fae magic and DNA yet she's not supposed to. Also, we have this background story of a love triangle forming between Alana and two brothers Dash and Jax - Dash - Mr. Fun and Jax - Mr. Serious. If you are wanting to delve into something different and urban fantasy/ supernatural is your jam, then check out the Guardian Academy series by Jessica Sorensen.
