Review: Nanny Needed - Georgina Cross
Review: Nanny Needed - Georgina Cross - October 2021
Do you have days when you
know you want to read, but everything you try is just not doing it for you?
That was this morning for me, as I tried two books that were both DNFs, and
finally third time lucky, was a book that had hooked my attention and ended up
being a good read with a twist that was OMG and I did not see coming at all.
Sarah Larsen is living in New York with her fiance Jonathan as her Aunt Clara
has now passed away as a girl Clara had always talked to Sarah about how New
York was the place to be and she had many fond memories of it. Sarah's Aunt
left her with a lot of medical bills so when Sarah sees the ad for a Nanny, she
jumps at it as it turns out it could solve all their financial issues. When
Sarah arrives though, things are seemingly normal at first but then the
"special conditions and discretion" becomes clear as the truth is
that the Nannying isn't exactly kosher without giving too much of the book
away. What happens though when Sarah starts to lose everything she has ever
cared about and it seems that her Nannying family "The Birds" are at
the centre of it all? Can Sarah break free or is she trapped forever in this
world of Upper West Side? The ending makes the book and crazy rollercoaster of
emotions worth it as I did not see this coming.
If you are in the mood for a psychological thriller and a book that might just
put you off ever considering being a Nanny, then Nanny Needed by Georgina Cross
is the book for you.
