Review: The House Fire - Rosie Walker - January 2022

Lately, I have been on a thriller kick and today's read was The House Fire by Rosie Walker, one of my favorite things about the Libby App is discovering new authors and their titles. This book starts with a character known as "The Arsonist". The book then jumps to what we assume is modern times and we are met with a wedding between Ella and Ant aka Anthony. Ella's daughter Jamie is happy for her mum but the youngest daughter Cleo is determined for Ant to be removed from their lives as for her there is something evil about him, she just can't pinpoint it yet but she finds him manipulative and emotionally abusive. This book has several storylines from Cleo's to remove Ant from their family, Jamie who is busy filming a documentary on previous arsons in the community that occurred in the 1980s. When Cleo and Jamie both find the house where the first arson happened, they are determined to track down the child known as Tony. What happens though when they will learn that Tony is closer to them than they realized and that danger may be in their future when Cleo is burned and Jamie falls down the stairs? Is someone trying to silence them from the truth being revealed? Find out in this family arson thriller known as "The House Fire" by Rosie Walker.  I am now looking forward to reading other books by this author especially Secrets of a Serial Killer as it sounds up my alley.
