Review: Match Pointe - Indigo Bloome

Review: Match Pointe - Indigo Bloome - January 2015

As readers will be aware May was Clear Your Bookshelf Challenge month and so I set forth to make sure that I could get rid of some of the books on my bookshelf. This was a fun challenge as it made me explore and pick up books that had been forgotten about and discover some diamonds in the rough like Match Pointe by Indigo Bloome. Match Pointe was the result of what you would get if you mixed Ballet, Tennis and added a BDSM erotica feel to the novel. The book starts with us meeting two of the main characters Caesar and Eloise. Caesar is wealthy and has made his money by being the best and raising tennis stars and elite athletes and Eloise is a ballet dancer. What happens when these two lives collide is Eloise has lost everything she has ever known and Caesar is offering her an opportunity of a lifetime that will set her up for the rest of her life. She is to dance for the Number 1 tennis player as a form of motivation before their games and become their property for two years and then she is free to do what she pleases. On the night of her decision, she meets Liam who in another lifetime they could have been HEA together but now she's signed the contract, she can't be with him. Life with Ivan - the first champion was mutual respect but then when he loses to Stephen, the contract changes and the relationship will start a mutually beneficial one of a Master and Sub but what happens when Stephen starts to crave control and becomes obsessed with Eloise and the dynamics change to her becoming his playtoy to punish and use how he pleases. Meanwhile, we read as Liam is determined to become Number One to save the woman he loves as he has to stand by the sidelines and watch her light diminish and fade away. Match Pointe exceeded my expectations and I found myself enjoying this book more than I thought I would as I had gone off erotica romance as over the years it had started to blend into one another and this was a fresh take seeing as it was written at the height of the beginning of erotic romance in 2015. If you love sports and erotica romance, then this is one book that I highly recommend to all to read as you will not be disappointed.
